The District will pay for up to 60
graduate hours. The Superintendent will use the same criteria to grant
salary credit for graduate hours beyond the Masters Degree as he uses
in granting salary credit to teachers on staff. If the graduate hours
are in the area in which he is teaching and/or, in the estimation of
the Superintendent, the graduate hours would serve the goals of the
District, compensation for the graduate hours above the masters may be
granted.
If the applicant has two Master’s
degrees, he will be paid for one. If the applicant has an earned
Master’s degree in the area in which he is teaching, he will be paid
for the master’s degree in that area.
Hire the best person for the job and
pay for experience and graduate education as acceptable to the
applicant. (This may be base, off step, on step or above step,
depending on the market conditions - number of applicants, previous
salary, teaching certification area, time of year, etc.)
