The New York State Association of Retired School Superintendents (NYSARSS) is a social and advocacy organization of retired professional school superintendents in New York State. The NYSARSS provides its members with collegial support, and social and travel opportunities, while advocating for public education and retired superintendents. We gather for the enjoyment of each others company, the recognition of our public service to children and the State, and the common bonds inherent in having shared the position of Superintendent of Schools.

Modest Goals
>> Have fun and enjoy each others company.
>> Have dinner together. (Bring others to dinners and events on an occasional basis.)
>> Respect all members for the work they have done serving the children and communities in New York State
>>Arrange social events and travel events for members
>> Provide a secure network for support and collegial company.

Dues
We have no formal dues structure.  We add a small charge (pay-as-you-go) to some events to pay for webpage maintenance, postage, printing, etc. 

Events
The organization of events is done by members volunteering their administrative experience.  Event organizers pay their own way.
