Mentoring and Faculty Work
Experienced lead superintendents and administrators, active or retired, are welcome to participate in supporting new and experienced superintendent and administrator development. At the current time the following opportunities are available. If interested CONTACT US.
Cycles of Success Faculty
The Cycles of Success (CofS) program mentors new superintendents from appointment through their first year in the superintendency. The new superintendents meet monthly with CofS faculty (experienced superintendents) to discuss the scheduled topic, dialogue current issues, discuss self growth, and network. CofS faculty prepare and present during the first half of each monthly meeting. CofS faculty normally present at two monthly meeting each year (i.e., twice a year).Superintendent Development Program Faculty
Superintendent Development Program (SDP) faculty are employed by Oswego State University (OSU) to mentor aspiring superintendents during this intense year-long program. Normally two SDP faculty (sitting lead superintendents) meet and work with a team of four to eight associates (experienced middle level administrators) weekly from January to November. Faculty are identified with direct input of BOCES District Superintendents.Workshop Presenters
The Superintendent Support Services at the Greater Southern Tier BOCES is continually looking for new workshop ideas. Experienced lead superintendents and administrators are welcome to present themselves as presenters and propose new workshop ideas for consideration.
