It is not unusual that critical decisions must be made during the process of applying, interviewing, accepting and entering the position. This online coaching is for experienced administrators applying or preparing to apply for the position of Superintendent of Schools.

For school district administrators considering moving towards the Superintendency in New York State.

Faculty
Dr. Jim Merrins is Executive Program Administrator of the Educational Leadership Institute, NYSAWA, and the New York State School District Internal Auditing Alliance (SDIAA). He administers numerous statewide fiscal workshops for superintendents and experienced school administrators, including the Transition to Superintendency Program, Fiscal Navigation for Superintendents, and The School District Negotiator. Dr. Merrins administered the Superintendent Development Program from it inception, for 11 years, and wrote all the program protocols. Jim has more than 40 years experience in school administration, including 16 years as a Superintendent in Fredonia and Honeoye, New York. Dr. Merrins is NYS certified as a School Business Administrator. Dr. Merrins taught school finance and school law at SUNY colleges for several years.
